Product Environmental Aspect Certification:

The Green Building Sector is a growing area of market change and evolution to greener design and their use of material with lower environmental footprints. This is translating into architects preference of green building material to realise their designs and developments. As part of the global shift towards greener design all Green Building Councils have incorporated environmental performance requirements for individual building materials or internal or fixtures products. Environmental Assurance is positioned to offer product manufacturers independent certification for their LEED, Green Building Council or Australian Green Building Council Product submissions. Environmental Assurance is well positioned to provide both basic advice as to the value of gaining your product environmental aspect certification and undertaking the work to deliver an independent and credible assurance as to your products environmental attributes. This certification framework utilises an ISO 14 021 based framework but may be limited to onbly select and relevant environmental aspects.

Each of the below environmental aspects do gain additional points under the Australian Green Star Materials Model and/or under the LEED Materials Credit Model.

Product Stewardship	The purpose of this certification is to establish whether the company has in place an effective and usuable product takeback and recycled, refurbishing or reuse system to maximise its customer environmental commitment.
Recycled Content	The purpose of this certification is to confirm from an independent audit the recycled content of a product or material and the recycled content integrity of its supply chain.
EMS and Sustainability Report Quality and Status	The purpose of this certification is to verify the quality, scope of systems, and effectively immplementation of current Environmental Management Systems ( both certified and non-certified) or Sustainability/Corporate Social Responsbility Reports. This certification is orientated towards provdiing an effective peer review and independent assurance as to these aspects of the organisations management and reporting systems.
Design for Disassembly	The purpose of this certification is to confirm the physical material constituents and the pathway for disassembly of products and designs in order to clarify the disassembly difficulty of any product or material. The objective is to give clarity to the final user on whether the embodied environmental elements of a product can be easily recycled and reused within the economy rather than needing to be disposed of in landfill.

Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Auditing and Review

As markets become more demanding of the proper environmental and social stewardship by companies the market has evolved the annual corporate sustainability report. The utilisation of a headline report to properly inform markets, stakholder and shareholders is an important ingredient to bring to the fore the company's achievements, risks and work agendas. The Australian standard is designed to provide a platform for organizations to help implement a successful Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. Certification to this standard allows confidence by stakeholder, shareholders and directors that the critical elements of an effective CSR strategy are in place and effective and accurate information is being presnted across the organisation and to the public markets.
Global Reporting Initiative Guidelines: GRI	The GRI framework has grown to be recognised as the pre-eminent CSR reporting framework for global companies and is increasingly being used as the most thorough and accurate method for compiling your Corporate Social Responsbility Report. This service offers a peer review of the content of the GRI report and the sign off of this document for public release with the knowledge and recognition by stakeholders that the report is accurate and reflective of the priority reporting elements of an effective CSR program.
Sustainability Assurance Certification:	The third party review of sustainability reports and issue specific environmental and sustainability information is an important attribute in ensuring market and shareholder acceptance in many industrial sectors. Peer review can offer assurance to the information that is being presented and provide confidence. This certification service is for a narrower range of corporate sustainability reporting than the previous comprehensive solutions.
